Howdy folks! 😊
Chicken Wings are one of my favorite things to eat! And I know I’m not alone in this…😊
They are so easy to make, I especially like to prepare them when we have company.
I like that they are so versatile, and with this recipe, once the base is done, you can have as many different flavors/varieties of sauces as you’d like! 😊
I love Honey Garlic wings because that combination is just so flavorful and delicious….you just can’t go wrong. And your guests will surely be impressed 😊
If you’re ready to give them a go…here’s what you’ll need :

minutesIngredients
1.2 kg of Chicken wings
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon black pepper
3/4 Cornstarch or plain flour
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Vegetable oil, for frying
3 Cloves Garlic, minced
1 Teaspoon Ginger
1 Tablespoon Butter
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
6 Tablespoons Honey
1 Tablespoon brown Sugar
1/2 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar (optional)
1 Teaspoon Chives/Green Onion, for Garnish
1 Teaspoon Sesame seeds, for Garnish
Directions
- Start by separating the winglets from the drumlets by slicing through the wing at the joint. Proceed to season the wings with salt only, after that. 😊
- Next, combine the cornstarch/flour with the black pepper and garlic powder. 😊
- Lightly dust the wings in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off the excess. Remember, this is not a traditional ‘fried chicken’ recipe so do make sure the wings are lightly coated. 😊
- Next, heat your oil in a pan, and fry the wings for about 5 minutes on each side. Make sure there’s enough oil to cover the wings. I added a few garlic halves to the oil, to just infuse some more of that garlic flavor. 😊
- Remove the wings from the pan and set them aside to drain of any excess oil, while you prepare the honey garlic sauce. 😊
- In a pan, melt the butter, and then add the minced garlic and ginger. Cook those for a couple of minutes before adding the Soy sauce, Honey, Vinegar (if using) and Sugar. 😊
- Let that cook for a minute or so, just to let everything come together. 😊
- Then, return the wings to the pan and stir them into the sauce. Work quickly, until the wings are completely covered in the sauce. 😊
- Serve the wings on a platter, sprinkled with some sesame seeds and chives to garnish. Enjoy! 😊
