Happy New Year folks, and welcome to 2015!
(Is it still new, by the way? I think so 😉 )
With the noise and gluttony of the festive season firmly behind us, I’m guessing we’re now preoccupied with living out the year and seeing how best to implement the things we have resolved to do.
I admit I had every intention of opening the year with a grand post, bursting with energy and inspiration….but where the end of 2014 (and the start of 2015) found me was nowhere near ‘inspiring.’ I lost a dear aunt, my second mother really and just facing the reality enough to even write about it brings the hurt to life all over again. But God is at work in my heart, and in the rest of my family to bring healing to the part of us that is broken, so we’ll let Him do what He does best.
Though the past couple of months have been emotionally sapping, there has still been a sense of peace in the midst of all the chaos.
I have such hope for this year and my level of expectation is equally great. I hope you’re on that same page too!
God is good, and given to Him, our ashes are exchanged for beauty, our fear for Strength. Our mourning for gladness and our despair for peace.
In other news, February (the month of love 😉 ) is now upon us – and you can rest assured I’ll have a thing or two to say about that, so be sure to return here in the next few days.
In the meantime, love on someone, keep warm and stay true!
xoxo
