Howdy folks! 😊
Today seems like a good day for a smoothie! And here’s one I’m calling ‘Triple B.’ 😋
You’ll see why from the ingredients…
Beetroot is such an interesting vegetable, and most would find it odd to appear in this drink. But I must say that it lends itself very well to this drink – And brings with it that ‘XFactor’ element 😋. Its not your obvious choice for a smoothie, but it certainly makes this delicious!
You would have to give this a try for yourself to believe just how yummy this smoothie is.
So without further ado, here’s the recipe below 😊
Purple Smoothie
Course: Drinks, DessertDifficulty: Easy4
servings10
minutesIngredients
1 cup Beetroot, chopped
1 cup Blackberries
1 ripe Banana, Diced
1 cup Cranberry Juice
200g Vanilla or Plain Yogurt
Mint (garnish)
Honey to taste (optional)
2 Teaspoons Chia seed
Directions
- These are your key ingredients…Banana, Beetroot and Blueberries (Triple B). 😊
Make sure the ingredients are all fresh and fit for use. - Then, start the smoothie by adding half the Cranberry juice to the blender, and then the fruit & veg go in next. Blueberries and Banana – and then Beetroot.
Blend together for about 5 minutes, on high speed. Just to make sure the ingredients are well blended, and there are no lumps. 😊 - Next, add the remaining Cranberry juice and yogurt to the blender – (also add the Chia seeds, if using). Blend for another 3 minutes until the smoothie is smooth and homogenous – And looks like this photo…😊
Taste the smoothie and add honey, if required. - Lastly, pour the smoothie into a mason jar and garnish with Mint leaves and Blueberries.
Serve chilled, and enjoy! 😋
